Clears the Receiving form to enable the user to create a new receipt.

Saves changes made to the currently selected receipt.

This will delete the Receiving form you are currently using.

Closes the Receiving module.

 

Tools

 

Clicking on this menu choice will transfer the received items into inventory. In any case, the receipt must be approved prior to inventory updating.

Clicking on this option or clicking on the Approve button on the main form will approve the receipt. Once approved no further changes to the receipt are permitted.

This tool will automatically insert all received quantities to match the Purchase Order quantities for items on the form.

This tool will insert received quantities; approve the receipt and update inventory.

If you have a label printer and a label report, this can be generated at the receiving workstation.

With this tool, you can hide the header and allow more screen space to display items. To fully utilize this tool, click on the Minimize/Expand button in the top right of the form. The receiving module fills the entire screen.

 

View

 

View all receipts.

View all unapproved receipts.

View all approved receipts that have not yet had inventory updated.

 

Report

 

Executes the core system Receiving Log for the selected Receipt.

Opens the report filter dialog for the core system receiving log report to allow for the report to be executed for a range of receipts.

Information about the module.  This will include name of module, version and copyright.

 

Grid Context Menu (Right Click)

 

Opens the Item Editor module with the item in the receipt line preselected.

Choosing this option will open the Configurator form (if licensed for purchasing configurator). 

Copies the selected receipt line.

Selecting this option brings up the UOM conversion form to allow the user to see the different units of measure available to that item.  It is also possible to setup new units of measure from this form.  These additional units of measure will be saved into the Bill of Material for that item, and will therefore be available next time that item is chosen on a Purchase Order.

Receiving history

This option will display the Item Running Balance form when selected, which gives an inventory balance by date of the item selected, taking into account future Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Work Orders.  For more information on this feature refer to the section dedicated to Item Running Balance.

View inventory on hand for the item on the receipt line.

Save the current column position, width and visibility settings.

Search for items to add to the current receipt.

Restore the grid column position, width and visibility to the default settings.
