Each module has a status code that you can define. These status codes can be used for many purposes and you can filter all the transactions by any status code you select. For example Estimates could be classified as Open, Won, Lost, To Be Submitted, Revised, and so on.
To create new status codes, on the OrderStream main profile bar expand the Lookups section and click the Stat Codes option. The form shown in the image below will load. Note that the stat codes already present in your database may not be the same as the ones shown below.
Adding a New Status Code
To add a new status code, either click the icon which looks like a piece of paper, press ctrl+A, or go to the Record menu and select Add.
Enter the status code into the Description field. This will be the value users will select from the Status combo in the main OrderStream transactional modules. Enter a single character into the Status Type field. A status type can be a short abbreviation of the description or can represent any other status type convention.
To assign the new status code to a module, select the module from the Module combo. Status codes assigned to modules will only appear in the modules they were assigned to. If the status code is not assigned to a module, the status code will appear in every module where status codes are available.
When you have completed creating the status code click the disk icon to save.
Modifying Existing Status Codes
To modify an existing status code select the status code you to be modified and click the yellow bar.
This will load the status code into the status code creation form. Make the necessary changes to the status code and click the disk icon to save. Click the yellow bar to return to the list of status codes.
