If you wish to use text, check mark the Override Text field. A new field named DefaultValue will appear. In this field you can specify the text that you wish to display. Here is an example using text.
The setup for symbols is the same as text except you will also be focusing on the ItemFontName field. Here is an example using symbols. As you can see for the ItemFontName Wingdings has been selected. As a side note Wingdings is a Microsoft Windows font that utilizes symbols in place of text. In the DefaultValue field you can proceed to key in characters or alternatively, you can double click the DefaultValue field to bring up a chart.
