Due dates for sub contract documents, materials and services are calculated in the following fashion:
Sub Contract Documents
The sub contract document's due date is equal to the due date of the subcontract service item.
Sub Contract Services
The longest vendor lead time among the non stock items assigned to the sub contract parent's bill of material is used in the calculation of the service item's due date. The due date calculation depends on whether the sub contract parent is stock or non stock and if the sub contract document was generated from a sales order or work order material requisition.
1. Sub contract parent is non stock and the sub contract document is created from Mat Req
If the longest non stock material vendor lead time + the sub contract service vendor lead time is equal to or less than the work order start date (if material requisition was generated from sales order, the sales order due date minus seven working days is used in place of a work order start date) - the current date, the sub contract service due date is equal to the work order start date. Otherwise, the subcontract service due date is equal to the current date + the longest non stock material vendor lead time + the sub contract service vendor lead time.
2. Sub contract parent is stock OR the sub contract parent is non stock and the sub contract document was manually created in sub contracting module.
The sub contract service due date is equal to the current date + the longest non stock material vendor lead time + the sub contract service vendor lead time.
Materials required by Sub Contract Documents
The due date calculation for sub contract materials depends on whether the sub contract parent is stock or non stock, the sub contract material is stock or non stock and if the sub contract document was generated from a sales order or work order material requisition.
1. Sub contract parent is non stock, sub contract material is non stock and the sub contract document is created from Mat Req
The due date of the sub contract material is equal to the sub contract service due date - the sub contract service vendor lead time.
2. Sub contract parent is stock OR the sub contract parent is non stock and the sub contract material is stock
The due date of the sub contract material is equal to the current date + the sub contract material's vendor lead time.
