The Document Storage tab enables you to attach one or more documents to an item. Examples of documents which could be attached include drawings, images of the item, or word documents. The Document Storage tab appears as shown in the image below.

To attach a new document:
1. Click n the dark grey box and press the Insert key on your keyboard. This will add a new line to the form.
2. Next double click the File Path text box to open a dialog box which will allow you to browse to the appropriate location to select the required document.
a .You are also able to simply select a folder if you wish to open the folder in Windows Explorer instead of opening individual files.
b. You are also able to set a default folder to which the dialog box will open each time.

3. After the document or folder has been selected click the Open button. The path and image name will be displayed in the File Path field.
4. You can enter a comment into the Reference field if necessary. To view the attached file click the View button.

The application in which the document is opened in depends on the setting of the application preference. When enabled the document will open in Windows Explorer. This may cause documents in .doc or .xls format to open in Internet Explorer. When the preference is disabled, the document will open in the default application for the document specified in the Windows registry.
