Prerequisites:
The Estimate module must be activated. If you have not yet purchased a license for it, please contact your project manager or a Seradex Sales Representative.
Module Overview:
It is rare that a company will be awarded every job it pursues, and in most cases every job is unique. The Estimate module allows a prospective job to be entered, tracked and monitored while the job is kept separate from the active orders. When the job has been awarded it is a simple click of the sales order button that will turn a quote into an active order. If the quote is not for a standard product, then the Estimate module can be used to create a custom item with a specific bill of materials, costing and pricing structure unique to that job.
The Estimate module was designed with ease of use and flexibility in mind. It allows the estimator the ability to complete a quote and get it into the hands of the prospective customer very quickly. This module will also provide the estimator with a very flexible tool. The items, bill of material and routing can be modified within the estimating screen and the pricing can be designed to suit your specific pricing structure.
The Estimate form is accessed by clicking on Estimate in the OrderStream profile bar. This will bring up the form below.
