The situation may arise where a customer has created many custom reports in place of the OrderStream default reports. These custom reports may have been integrated in such a way that they easily available to the users from the reports menu within a module. However, users may become confused as to which report to run, the custom report or the standard report.
Within the OrderStream application, it is possible to replace the default reports from the reports menu within a module with your custom report. To do this, follow these procedures:
1. | Open your ActiveM database (SQL or Access). |
2. | Open the table “Company Setup”. |
3. | Located the column called DNSName. If there is a value there, change it to your company name (no spaces or special characters). |
4. | Close the ActiveM database. |
Setting up the report:
1. | Open your ActiveM database. |
2. | Open the Reports table. |
3. | Locate the Seradex Default report that you would like to substitute your custom report with. |
4. | Note the name of the report (column is called Name in the reports table). |
5. | Open your Reports database. |
6. | Open the table called Reports. |
7. | Change the name of the report such that it reads “DNSName ReportName” (example: Seradex Order Confirmation). |
8. | Turn the check mark off on the “Show” column for that report. |
At this point, your custom report is no longer a choice on the reports drop down menu from within a specific module. Rather, the end user only sees the default option. However, when they choose this option, your custom report will display instead of the Seradex standard report.
