The Excel sheets can become very complex – and depend on the complexity of your product. It is very important that the sheets be tested and audited prior to going live. Seradex recommends that 30 – 50 orders for each product line be processed in a test environment. The bill of materials, routing, pricing and user defined fields should be thoroughly examined for each order to insure they are accurate and complete.
During configuration the system may display an error message. This can occur because the excel sheet contains an item number that does not exist in the item master or because a cell in the spreadsheet has an error in it. If this happens select the view sheet menu option, track down and correct the error. During initial operation these errors can be encountered frequently – as more orders are entered the frequency will decrease.
