ACCPAC on Pervasive Database

In order to update Customer, Vendors and GL accounts into OrderStream you need to prepare an ODBC connection to the clients ACCPAC Data and link the appropriate tables to SQLLink.mdb.

 

Notes Before Starting:

 

Ensure you have installed the latest Pervasive Service Pack at least SP2A (See Seradex Resource CD or Pervasives web site (www.pervasive.com)

 

The following must be done from a workstation and not from the server.  Go to Control Panel and double click on ODBC Data Sources (In Windows 2000 select Administrative services first).

 

Click on Add to open the form.

 

Select Pervasive ODBC Engine Interface minimum Version 7.82.198.01.

 

Note: Do not select Pervasive ODBC Client Interface.

 

Click on Finish.

 

Enter a Data Source Name then click on Create.

 

Enter Database Name then click on Browse.

 

Select the Folder that contains the desired ACCPAC data set then click on OK.

 

Click on OK.

 

Click on test.

 

Click on OK to exit ODBC setup.

 

Now open up your SQLLink.mdb on your server in Access.  From the menu, select File > Get External Data > Link Tables.

 

Then select Files of Type ODBC Databases ().

 

Then select Machine Data Sources Tab in the following form:

 

Click on the database you created previously ACCPAC in our example above.  Click on OK.

 

You must select the following tables by selecting each Table and clicking OK.

You have to have the linked table ARCSM linked database in order to get real time credit limits to work

 

Note: you do not need to attach to the following tables but there are listed here if you want to examine their records:

 

APRTA AP Terms Codes

ARRTA AR Terms

BKCUR Currency

 

After you select each table click on OK.
